Barista and Cashier

Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our vibrant café team. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while expertly preparing and serving high-quality coffee and beverages. Your ability to connect with customers and provide exceptional service will enhance their experience and keep them coming back for more.

Duties

• Previous experience in a café or coffee shop setting is preferred but not required; we are willing to train motivated individuals.
• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages according to established recipes and standards.
• Operate the cash register and handle cash transactions accurately, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas to adhere to food safety standards.
• Assist customers with menu selections, providing recommendations based on their preferences while delivering outstanding customer service.
• Manage inventory levels of coffee beans, syrups, milk, and other supplies; communicate needs to management as necessary.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods and contribute to a positive work environment.
• Engage with customers to create a friendly atmosphere, addressing any concerns or feedback promptly.

Skills

• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse clientele.
• Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing cash register operations effectively.
• Knowledge of food safety practices to ensure compliance in food preparation areas.
• Experience in sales techniques to promote café products effectively.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
