Barista and Staff member

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team in a vibrant café environment. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, maintaining a clean workspace, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers.

Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and espresso beverages with precision and care.
• Engage with customers to take orders, provide recommendations, and ensure satisfaction.
• Handle cash transactions accurately using the Aloha POS system.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations.
• Assist in food preparation and handling, ensuring all health and safety standards are met.
• Upsell products to enhance the customer experience and increase sales.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
• Continuously learn about coffee varieties, brewing techniques, and menu offerings to provide knowledgeable service.

Experience

• Previous experience in the food industry or café setting is preferred but not required.
• Barista experience required.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele.
• Experience in cash handling and sales is advantageous.
• Knowledge of food preparation and handling practices is a plus.
• A passion for coffee culture and eagerness to learn about different brewing methods and flavors.
