Barista, Barista Shift Lead

Overview
We are seeking dedicated and detail-oriented Baristas and Barista Shift Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for making drinks, especially matcha drinks, desire to help customers, and a strong understanding of food safety standards. This role will be responsible for making and serving drinks, and customer service. Previous experience in food service is highly valued. The Baristas play a vital role in delivering exceptional experiences through precise, efficient and safe food handling practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service in a friendly and professional manner
• Help answer customer questions about matcha and our products
• Take orders and handle transactions accurately using the Point of Sale system
• Prepare drinks and desserts quickly while adhering precisely to established procedures and processes
• Follow food safety and health regulations and guidelines
• Clean equipment, mop floor, take out trash/recycling, and other sanitation duties
• Perform additional duties as requested by a lead or manager

Qualifications

• Passion for making drinks. especially matcha, and helping people
• Radiate positive energy to our customers and other team members
• Good communication with clear voice
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Speed with hands working in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent at multi-tasking
• Detail oriented (doesn't make many mistakes)
• Must be available to work weekends and holidays
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work

Experience

• Experience working in the food industry
• Knowledge of food preparation and food safety protocols
• Familiarity with kitchen equipment and culinary tools
• Prior experience demonstrating attention to detail, cleanliness, and adherence to safety standards is important for success in this role

Pay: From $19.00 per hour
