Barista / Busser / Host

Job Summary
Must Be 18 years old or older

Busser and Barista Responsibilities:

- Clearing and resetting tables in a timely manner

- Assisting servers with delivering food and beverages to customers

- Refilling water glasses and providing additional condiments as needed

- Removing dirty dishes, silverware, and glassware from tables

- Cleaning and sanitizing tables, chairs, and dining areas

- Assisting in maintaining cleanliness of the kitchen and dining areas

- Providing excellent customer service by attending to customer needs and requests

- Greeting customers in a friendly manner and taking food and drink orders

- Preparing and serving beverages such as drip coffee, espresso-based drinks, tea and other specialty drinks

- Preparing and serving food items such as soups, sandwiches and pastries

- Answering customers’ questions about menu choices

- Promoting and recommending menu options to customers

- Taking payment from customers

- Maintaining espresso machines, grinders, coffee machines and other equipment by cleaning and troubleshooting

- Keeping the work environment and café seating area clean, sanitary and organized

- Responding to and resolving customer concerns or complaints

- Evaluating and modifying processes to improve efficiency and quality of service

Qualifications: - Previous experience as a busser or in a similar role is preferred but not required - Knowledge of bussing procedures and food handling practices is a plus - Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with customers and staff - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously - Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team - Attention to detail and the ability to maintain cleanliness standards
