Barista Cashier

Job Summary
We’re on the lookout for a friendly and energetic Barista Cashier to join our vibrant smoothie and sandwich shop. Monday - Friday from 4-9:30 plus weekends. Starting pay range is from $11.50 to $14.00 per hour plus cash tips. These tips average between $5.00 to $8.00 per hour. In this role, you'll be the first point of contact for our guests, crafting delicious coffee beverages and providing top-notch customer service. You’ll handle cashier duties, manage POS systems, and ensure every guest leaves with a smile. Duties

• Prepare a variety of smoothies, fresh squeezed juice and sandwiches according to established recipes and customer preferences.
• Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS efficiently for order processing and payments.
• Greet guests warmly, take orders accurately, and serve food and drinks promptly.
• Handle cash, credit card transactions, and perform cashiering duties with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food handling and food safety practices.
• Assist with basic food preparation tasks and ensure adherence to food safety standards.
• Manage time effectively during busy hours to serve customers quickly while maintaining quality service.

Requirements

• Previous barista experience is highly preferred but will train.
• Familiarity with POS systems.
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable attitude.
• Good math skills for cash handling, retail math, and basic calculations.
• Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced café environment.
• Knowledge of food handling, safety regulations, and serving standards.
