Barista Cashier

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately using POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
• Prepare and serve high-quality coffee, beverages, and light snacks following established recipes and food safety standards.
• Operate cash registers, handle cash and card transactions with precision, and provide correct change using basic math skills.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations, counters, and seating areas.
• Manage food handling responsibilities responsibly by adhering to safety protocols and proper food preparation techniques.
• Assist in inventory management by restocking supplies and monitoring product levels to ensure smooth operations.
• Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for all guests.

Requirements

• Previous barista experience or food service background is preferred; a passion for coffee is a plus!
• Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable.
• Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy hours.
• Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and clear communication abilities.
• Ability to handle cash accurately, perform retail math confidently, and manage transactions smoothly.
• Knowledge of food safety standards, proper food handling procedures, and basic math for cash handling.
• Ability to stand for extended periods while maintaining energy and focus throughout shifts.
