Barista Cashier

Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly as they arrive, providing friendly and attentive service throughout their visit
• Operate Aloha POS or Micros POS systems accurately for order entry, payments, and transactions
• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and food items following established recipes and safety standards
• Handle cash, credit card transactions, and food handling with precision, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and seating areas
• Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures to ensure quality and compliance
• Assist with inventory management by restocking supplies and notifying management of low stock levels

Experience

• Previous barista experience or background in coffee preparation is preferred
• Proven cashiering skills with familiarity in POS systems such as Aloha or Micros
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
• Experience in food handling, serving, or food industry roles demonstrating attention to hygiene standards
• Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy in sales and cash handling
• Basic math skills for cash register operations, retail math calculations, and transaction accuracy
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food preparation techniques is a plus
