Barista Cashier

Duties

• Greet customers warmly, taking their orders with enthusiasm and professionalism
• Operate POS systems to process sales accurately and efficiently
• Prepare and serve high-quality tea beverages, adhering to food safety and food handling standards
• Handle cash, credit card transactions, and perform cashiering duties with precision using POS systems
• Maintain cleanliness of food preparation stations and cafe area
• Manage time effectively during busy hours to ensure prompt service and customer satisfaction
• Assist with food preparation and serving snacks or light meals as needed
• Uphold food safety regulations, ensuring proper food handling and sanitation practices at all times
• Perform basic math calculations for cash handling and retail math accuracy during transactions

Experience

• Prior barista experience or background in coffee service is highly preferred
• Experience operating POS systems
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures in a café or retail environment
• Ability to perform cashiering duties accurately, including cash handling and basic math calculations
• Familiarity with the food industry’s best practices for serving, food preparation, and retail math

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to stand for long periods of time.

Must be able to lift 30 lbs.

Must be able to perform bending, stooping, crouching, and squatting movements.

Must be able to safely handle and use sharp objects.

Must be able to work in a kitchen, near a stove, fryer.

Shift availability (varies based on position):

Open shift 9a-2p

Mid shift 12p-6p

Closing shift 3p-9p
