Barista Cashier

Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Barista to lead our café team with enthusiasm and expertise. In this role, you will oversee daily operations, ensure exceptional customer service, and maintain a vibrant, welcoming environment for all guests. Your leadership will inspire your team to deliver high-quality coffee and food experiences while adhering to safety and cleanliness standards. Hours of Operations are weekdays from 7.30AM - 5PM & weekends from 8AM-5PM. Full shifts available or half shifts 7am-12pm & 12pm-5PM

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily café operations, including opening, closing, and shift transitions, ensuring smooth workflow and excellent service delivery
• Lead by example in preparing and serving high-quality coffee beverages, food items, and snacks with attention to detail and consistency
• Manage POS systems
• Train, motivate, and support team members in customer service excellence, food safety protocols, and food handling procedures
• Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, supplies, and food items; place orders as needed to maintain stock levels
• Enforce health and safety standards by maintaining cleanliness, proper food handling practices, and compliance with food safety regulations
• Address customer inquiries or concerns promptly to ensure a positive experience that encourages repeat visits

Skills

• Proven experience as a barista with strong knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and café operations
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a food service or retail environment
• Proficiency with POS
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during busy periods
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
• Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and inventory management
• Knowledge of food safety standards, food preparation techniques, and proper food handling procedures
