Barista Cashier

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with precision and care
• Prepare soft serve ice cream creations, and drinks.
• Engage with customers warmly, taking orders efficiently and providing excellent service to ensure satisfaction
• Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS accurately for transactions, including cash handling and cashiering duties
• Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in food preparation areas and throughout the café environment
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure quick service without compromising quality
• Handle food handling responsibilities responsibly, including food safety protocols and proper food preparation techniques
• Assist in stocking supplies, managing inventory levels, and organizing the café to uphold an inviting atmosphere

Experience

• Previous barista experience or background in coffee industry preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
• Strong customer service skills with an energetic approach to serving guests
• Ability to perform basic math for cash handling, retail math, and transaction accuracy
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during peak hours
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures in a café or food service environment
• Experience in serving or retail environments that require cashiering, food preparation, or food industry knowledge is beneficial

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
