Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with skill and consistency
• Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for accurate order processing and cash handling
• Greet customers warmly, take their orders efficiently, and provide personalized recommendations when appropriate
• Manage cash register operations including cash handling, credit card transactions, and balancing registers at shift end
• Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in the café area, including food preparation and food handling practices
• Assist with food service tasks such as serving baked goods or light snacks to ensure a seamless customer experience
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly while maintaining quality standards

Requirements

• Prior experience as a barista or in food service is highly preferred; familiarity with coffee preparation is a plus
• Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for efficient sales transactions
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours
• Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and order totaling
• Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper food handling techniques
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable team player with a positive attitude and strong communication skills
