Barista Cashier - Closing Shift

Job Description:
Sugar Donuts is looking for a friendly and energetic Barista / Front of House Team Member to prepare and serve hot and cold beverages, including coffee and tea, while delivering an excellent customer experience.

Barista responsibilities include educating customers on our menu, making recommendations based on their preferences, upselling special items, and taking orders. This position requires strong customer service skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Note: Compensation includes hourly pay plus tips.

Responsibilities:

• Provide guests with excellent customer service
• Greet customers, take orders, and offer product recommendations
• Upsell menu items when appropriate
• Prepare and serve donuts, pastries, coffee, and ice cream
• Operate espresso machine and prepare drinks (espresso, cappuccino, latte, etc.)
• Handle cash and credit transactions using Square
• Maintain a clean and organized front-of-house area
• Clean tables and sweep after customers
• Follow all opening and closing procedures
• Assist kitchen with glazing donuts if needed
• Show initiative in completing daily tasks efficiently
• Perform other duties as needed

Minimum Requirements:

• Outgoing, friendly, and positive personality
• Ability to operate an espresso machine
• Previous barista or cashier experience preferred
• Preferred residence near the Ballantyne area
• Strong work ethic and reliability
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and some holidays
