Barista Cashier Sales

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our café team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional customer service, prepare high-quality coffee and food items, and maintain a clean and welcoming environment. This role offers an opportunity to work in a vibrant café setting, engaging with customers and honing your food service skills.

Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks using espresso machines and other equipment.
• Handle food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches, pastries, and other light menu items in accordance with food safety standards.
• Operate POS systems
• Provide excellent customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including cleaning equipment, counters, and dining spaces.
• Manage cash register operations accurately, including cash handling and basic math calculations for transactions.
• Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures at all times.

Experience

• Prior experience as a Barista or in the food industry is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
• Familiarity with POS systems
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
• Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations.
• Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently.

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
