Barista Customer Service

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional service with a lively, upbeat attitude.
• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, beverages, and light snacks following established recipes and quality standards.
• Operate POS systems accurately for transactions including cash handling and card payments.
• Manage cash register operations efficiently, ensuring accurate cash handling and balancing at shift end.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and seating areas.
• Ensure food safety standards are met by adhering to proper food handling, serving procedures, and sanitation protocols.
• Assist with inventory management by restocking supplies, monitoring product freshness, and reporting shortages promptly.

Qualifications

• Previous barista experience or strong coffee knowledge is preferred; passion for coffee is a plus!
• Experience with POS systems such or Micros POS is highly desirable.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse customers.
• Strong time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently while maintaining quality service.
• Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and order accuracy.
• Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures.
