BARISTA DELI

Deli & Barista · Long-Term, Career-Track

Who We Are
Due Focacceria is a modern Italian focacceria in Mac-Groveland — a second home, a neighborhood piazza, a place where the day slows down. We're built around a simple Italian word: due — "two" — because the best moments happen when more than one meet in the middle. A coffee shared across a counter. A loaf of focaccia on a table. The pause in the middle of a busy day.

We're not a chain. We're not seasonal. We're growing — and we're looking for hospitality people who want to grow with us.

The Path We're Hiring For

Every team member at due starts on the deli to learn the foundation and the heart beat.

Pillar l — Deli. You'll learn our food, our standards, our rhythm, and our regulars. You'll prep focaccia, build sandwiches, plate beautiful boxes and shares, and welcome every guest who walks through the door. Pillar 1 is where craft meets hospitality — and where every member of our team is shaped.

Pillar ll — Bar & Barista. Once you've matered l, you start developing bar skills. Registar, pulling espresso, pouring lattes, working a full beverage program. Yes — a full bar. Craft cocktails. Seasonal mocktails. Italian wine. Beer. The works. You become the first face of due — the opener of the conversation, the person who sets the tone for everyone's visit.

This is real bar development. Not "you'll learn to make a latte." We invest in our bar team. If you have curiosity for the craft of drinks — coffee, cocktails, mocktails, wine — there is a career path here that grows with you.

Why Start on the Deli?

Because the Bar is the first thing a guest meets — and you can't be that face until you've built the foundation behind it. The deli is where you learn to read a guest, move with intention, and bring care to every interaction. By the time you step behind the bar, you already know our food, our pace, and our people. That's not a holding pattern. That's the craft.

What You'll Enjoy

  • A real team — calm under pressure, high standards, no ego
  • A neighborhood crowd you'll come to know by name
  • Beautiful food and drinks you'll be proud to serve
  • A bar program that actually stretches you — espresso, craft cocktails, mocktails, wine, beer
  • The rhythm of a piazza — prepared, not frantic; busy, not chaotic
  • A workplace where your craft is noticed and your growth has a real path
  • Paid training, paid time off, dental & vision, employee discount, flexible scheduling within the rhythm of our hours
  • Competitive hourly wage in a strong tip environment

Who We're Looking For

  • Someone with prior hospitality, café, restaurant, or food-service experience (strongly preferred)
  • Someone who shows up — on time, every shift, ready to work
  • Someone who takes pride in their craft, even when no one is watching
  • Someone who handles a busy rush with calm, not chaos
  • Someone with genuine warmth for guests — you actually like being around people
  • Someone who treats their teammates like family
  • Someone looking for a place to stay and grow — not pass through

The Honest Part — Rhythm of the Role We believe in being upfront so we respect each other's time.

  • This role requires availability for both morning AND evening shifts
  • Weekends and holidays are our busiest — we need you for those
  • We are not currently hiring seasonal or temporary — this is a long-term commitment
  • We cannot accommodate extended summer vacations or a fall-semester schedule change for this role
  • If you're returning to college in the fall, this isn't the right fit — and that's okay

We'd rather have this conversation now than three months in.
