Barista/ Front of House

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and provide attentive, personalized service to enhance their café experience
• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with precision and flair
• Operate POS systems for order processing and payments
• Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, food prep stations, and dining space in accordance with food safety standards
• Assist with food preparation and food handling tasks to ensure quality and safety standards are met
• Manage time effectively during busy hours to serve customers promptly while maintaining high service standards

Skills

• Proven experience as a barista or in food service, with a strong understanding of coffee preparation techniques
• Familiarity with POS systems for efficient sales processing
• Comfortability and efficiency during busy rushes
• Strong multi-tasking and time-management skills
• Versatile team member able to support dual operations of Front of House and Barista (when needed).
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic demeanor
• Strong time management abilities to prioritize tasks during peak hours
• Ability to perform basic math for cash handling, retail math, and café operations
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and assist customers confidently
• Bilingual is a plus!

Pay: $18.00 - $28.00 per hour
