Barista Lead

We’re hiring a Barista Lead at Brewpoint Coffee! We’re looking for a motivated, highly caffeinated leader who’s passionate about community, connection, coffee and crafting exceptional experiences, while helping guide and support our barista team across locations. Position Overview

The Barista Lead plays a key support role to our Cafe Leads at Brewpoint, working hands-on with baristas to elevate coffee quality, bar execution, and customer service across all locations.

This role is ideal for someone with exceptionally high standards, strong coaching instincts, and the ability to give thoughtful, constructive feedback in a fast-paced environment.

This is a cross-location position and requires flexibility to work at multiple cafes as needed.

Key Responsibilities

Training & Development

  • All duties + responsibilities of a Barista
  • Lead barista bar training, ensuring consistent coffee quality, recipe adherence, and workflow efficiency.
  • Provide customer service training focused on hospitality, communication, and guest experience.
  • Conduct employee observations and skill assessments, offering clear, actionable feedback to support growth.
  • Reinforce standards and best practices during shifts through real-time coaching
  • Ensure tasks are being done efficiently and effectively.

Leadership Support

  • Support Cafe Leads through cross-training in operational tasks such as inventory management and hour approvals.
  • Serve as a resource and role model for baristas, helping bridge the gap between baristas and café leadership.
  • Assist in maintaining consistency across locations in coffee preparation and service standards.

Qualifications &* Skills*

  • Previous barista experience is required.
  • Demonstrates extremely high standards in coffee quality and customer service.
  • Strong ability to assess performance and provide direct, constructive, and respectful feedback.
  • Confident trainer with the ability to coach baristas at varying skill levels.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented, reliable, and adaptable in a multi-location environment.
  • Must be 21+ to apply (position involves preparing and serving alcoholic beverages)
