Velvet Desert Café is seeking a friendly, detail-oriented Barista to craft premium coffee beverages, deliver warm hospitality, and keep our café immaculate. You’ll represent our brand standard—elegance, speed, and precision—so every guest enjoys a consistently exceptional experience.

THE ROLE

You’ll prepare espresso-based and brewed drinks to recipe, engage customers with genuine service, and support smooth daily operations (opening/closing, restocking, and cleanliness). Your focus: quality in every cup, efficiency on bar, and a spotless, welcoming café.

YOUR CHALLENGE

• Coffee & Beverage Preparation
• Prepare all espresso-based and brewed beverages to recipe.
• Apply proper grinding, extraction, and milk-steaming techniques.
• Maintain consistency and quality in every cup.
• Customer Service
• Greet guests, take orders professionally, and process them accurately.
• Offer product recommendations and explain menu items.
• Maintain a positive atmosphere and resolve basic concerns.
• Cleaning & Café Upkeep
• Keep the bar, tools, equipment, and service areas spotless.
• Ensure tables, counters, and guest zones remain clean at all times.
• Follow hygiene and safety protocols rigorously.
• Operational Support
• Restock inventory, takeaway items, and ingredients as needed.
• Assist with opening/closing checklists.
• Support the team during rush periods with efficient workflow.

YOU WILL ROCK AT THIS ROLE IF YOU...

✔Have prior barista experience (specialty coffee a bonus).
✔ Bring a friendly, energetic, and customer-focused attitude.
✔Know espresso machines and core coffee techniques (or learn fast).
✔Can work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
✔Communicate clearly and collaborate well with the team.
