In this dynamic role, you will be the first one in to open the shop, welcome customers, prepare fresh coffee beverages, and set the tone for a positive, lively atmosphere. Duties

• Open the café each morning (5:30am), preparing the workspace, brewing equipment, and supplies for service.
• Greet customers warmly, taking their orders accurately using POS systems.
• Prepare and serve high-quality coffee drinks, beverages, and light food items following company standards.
• Manage cash handling and cashiering duties with precision, ensuring accurate transactions and register balancing.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food prep stations and seating areas.
• Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures to ensure a safe environment for customers and staff.
• Assist with inventory management by restocking supplies and monitoring product freshness throughout your shift.

Qualifications

• Prior barista experience or strong coffee knowledge is highly preferred; enthusiasm for coffee culture is a plus!
• Proven customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests.
• Experience operating POS systems; basic math skills for cash handling and retail math are essential.
• Excellent time management skills to efficiently open the café while managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Knowledge of food safety standards, food preparation techniques, and proper food handling procedures.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and work early morning shifts reliably.
• Strong communication skills paired with a proactive attitude to create an inviting atmosphere for customers and team members alike.
