Barista-Part Time

Founded in 1994, King Bean Coffee Roasters is a Charleston-based, family-owned and operated coffee roasting company with a commitment to providing excellent coffee to retail consumers and wholesale partners. We are seeking a Barista to join our team. Position Overview

• Title: Part-Time Barista

• Schedule:

• Guaranteed: Saturdays

• Rotating weekday shifts (morning → mid-morning or mid-morning → afternoon)

• Approx. 10–25 hours/week, with flexible scheduling

• Compensation: Starting at $15hr plus tips; final rate is based on experience.

• Location: King Bean Coffee Roastery

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers, take orders, and craft espresso-based and specialty beverages to our quality standards

• Share your knowledge of our single-origin and blended beans—origins, roast profiles, and brewing tips

• Upsell retail coffee beans, brewing gear, and merchandise

• Inventory & Shop Organization

• Monitor and restock beans, milk, syrups, and retail items

• Unpack deliveries, label inventory, and ensure proper FIFO rotation

• Keep both front- and back-of-house areas clean and well-organized

• Adjust to occasional layout or schedule changes during our expansion

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of hands-on barista experience in a café or specialty coffee shop

• Passionate about coffee, eager to learn and teach others

• Friendly, organized, and detail-oriented

• Able to stand for long periods, lift up to 25 lbs, and thrive in a fast-paced environment

• Must be available every Saturday

• Flexible weekdays to cover rotating shifts
