Barista - Part-time / Daytime

We are searching for an efficient coffee shop Barista capable of all barista duties, assessing customer needs, preparing food, and delivering high quality service. Our baristas should be adept at meeting immediate needs in a timely, efficient manner and demonstrate being a dependable Cabin Coffee employee!

Responsibilities

· Exemplify superior customer service at all times; welcoming customers, informing them about specials or new items, answering questions, and accepting orders and payments

· Preparing foods, such as sandwiches or baked goods, grinding and blending coffee beans, brewing coffee and tea, and serving items to customers

· Selling coffee and tea blends and brewing equipment, highlighting the differences between items and educating customers about brewing methods

· Cleaning and restocking work and dining areas, emptying trash, and sanitizing equipment and utensils

· Learning about brewing methods, beverage blends, food preparation, and presentation techniques to improve food quality.

· Updating signage and displays to attract customers

· Taking inventory and replenishing items in display cases, at tables, or behind the counter

· Working in as part of a fun, high-energy team

· Fully knowledgeable of POS System and able to help with training new staff on it

· Uphold and support Manager and Owner decisions

· Food Safety: Adhering to all food safety regulations and quality controls

· Knowing and understanding food, drink, and labor costs and keep them in proper range.

Preferred Work Experience

· Restaurant retail, hospitality, food industry, and/or customer service

Requirements

· Training and willingness to continue learning about food and beverage preparation

· Exceptional listening and communication skills

· Ability to walk, bend, and stand for extended periods

· Availability to work some peak hours which may include early mornings, 1 wknd per month, and some holidays

· Polite, engaging personality

· Commitment to customer satisfaction and service excellence

· Willingness to work as part of a high-energy, efficient team in a fast-paced environment

Salary

· Pending availability for daytime shifts and experience, Range from $12-$15/hr PLUS TIPS

· Potential monetary bonuses and Cabin Coffee incentives, additional benefits after being with the company for 1 year
