Responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks using various brewing equipment and techniques.
• Assist with food preparation and food handling tasks to ensure freshness, quality, and safety standards are met.
• Provide outstanding customer service by taking orders accurately, answering questions about menu items, and offering personalized recommendations.
• Operate Micros POS for efficient cashiering, cash handling, and sales transactions.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food prep stations, seating areas, and equipment.
• Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures to ensure compliance with health regulations.
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly while maintaining quality standards.

Experience

• Previous barista experience or coffee industry background is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS enhances efficiency in sales transactions.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests.
• Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and accurate order processing.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques.
• Experience in serving or food preparation within a café or retail environment is advantageous.
• Ability to manage time effectively during peak hours while multitasking across various responsibilities.
