Barista / Register

Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will be the face of our coffee shop part, responsible for providing exceptional customer service while preparing and serving a variety of beverages and Acai bowls. Your role will involve creating a welcoming atmosphere for customers, ensuring their orders are made accurately and efficiently, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and take their orders with enthusiasm.
• Prepare and serve high-quality coffee, refreshers, acai bowls and other beverages according to established recipes.
• Operate the Toast POS system for processing transactions efficiently.
• Handle cash register duties, including cash handling and providing accurate change.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including equipment and utensils.
• Assist in inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying management of low stock levels.
• Engage with customers to provide recommendations and promote new products or specials.
• Uphold safety and health standards in food preparation areas.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in customer service is preferred.
• Familiarity with Toast POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus, not mandatory.
• Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations.
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanor.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds as needed.
• A passion for coffee and knowledge about different brewing methods is desirable.

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
