Barista - Saturdays and Sundays

Are you a morning person with a passion for the perfect pour? We are looking for an energetic, reliable, and skilled Barista to join our team at YiaYia's Cafe in Hinsdale!

We aren't your average coffee shop, we are a high-energy breakfast destination where the drinks are just as important as the eggs and pancakes. If you can pivot from a latte art masterpiece to a refreshing morning mimosa without breaking a sweat, we want to meet you.

What You’ll Be Doing

As our Barista, you are the heart of the morning experience. Your responsibilities include:

• Crafting Coffee: Operating espresso machines to create high-quality lattes, cappuccinos, and standard brews.
• Juice & Smoothie Guru: Prepping and blending fresh fruit smoothies and pouring specialty juices.
• Morning Spirits: Mixing light alcoholic beverages, including Mimosas, Bloody Marys, and spiked coffees.
• The "Reset": Taking full ownership of the bar station. This includes restocking supplies and performing a thorough cleaning and sanitization of the station after every shift to ensure we're ready for the next day.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a fast-paced barista or bartending role.
• Versatility: You’re comfortable handling hot steam wands, high-speed blenders, and cocktail shakers.
• Reliability: Breakfast starts early! We need someone who treats "on time" as "five minutes early."
• Cleanliness: You take pride in a spotless workspace and understand that a clean bar is a functional bar.
• Legal: Must be of legal age to serve alcohol in this jurisdiction.
