Barista Shift Leader

Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and motivated Barista Shift Leader to join our vibrant café team! In this dynamic role, you will lead by example, ensuring smooth daily operations while delivering exceptional customer service. Your enthusiasm and leadership will inspire your team to create a welcoming environment, craft high-quality beverages, and maintain the highest standards of food safety and cleanliness. As a key team member, you’ll be responsible for managing shift activities, supporting sales goals, and fostering a positive atmosphere that keeps our customers coming back.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise daily café operations during your shift, ensuring efficient workflow and excellent service delivery
• Support and motivate team members to meet sales targets while maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction
• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, food items, and snacks with precision and care
• Manage cash handling, POS transactions (including Aloha POS and Micros POS systems), and cashiering duties accurately
• Uphold food safety standards by adhering to proper food handling, preparation, and sanitation procedures
• Assist in training new staff on food service protocols, POS systems, and customer service techniques
• Monitor inventory levels, restock supplies as needed, and communicate supply needs to management

Skills

• Proven experience as a barista with strong coffee-making skills and knowledge of café operations
• Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience supervising or leading shifts in a retail or food industry setting
• Proficiency in POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; strong cash handling skills
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse customers
• Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy periods
• Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and sales transactions
• Knowledge of food safety regulations, food preparation techniques, and proper serving procedures

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
