Barista Shift Leader

Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated part-time Barista and Assistant manager to join our team. As a Barista, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items. Your expertise in food safety and customer service will ensure that every guest has an exceptional experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate a team of baristas during your shift, ensuring smooth operations and high standards of service.
• Oversee daily café activities, including food preparation, beverage crafting, and customer interactions.
• Manage POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process sales accurately and efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards, proper food handling, and cleanliness protocols.
• Assist with cash handling, cashiering duties, and basic retail math to reconcile transactions at shift end.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest needs promptly and professionally.
• Support training new team members on POS systems, food safety procedures, and customer service expectations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a barista with strong knowledge of coffee preparation and serving techniques.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a café or retail environment preferred.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS is highly desirable.
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy shifts.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle diverse guest needs positively.
• Knowledge of food safety practices, food handling procedures, and basic math for cash handling and sales transactions.

Pay: $13.00 - $18.00 per hour
