Responsibilities

• Lead and support the café team during your shift, ensuring smooth daily operations and excellent customer service
• Prepare and serve high-quality coffee beverages, food items, and snacks with attention to detail and food safety standards
• Manage cash handling, POS transactions using systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS, and perform cashiering duties accurately
• Monitor inventory levels, restock supplies, and maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area
• Train new team members on food preparation, serving techniques, POS usage, and customer service protocols
• Enforce food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures to ensure a safe environment for customers and staff
• Assist in resolving customer inquiries or complaints promptly to uphold our reputation for outstanding service

Skills

• Proven experience as a barista with strong coffee-making skills and knowledge of food service operations
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for efficient transactions
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy shifts
• Strong customer service orientation with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
• Leadership qualities to motivate team members and oversee shift activities effectively
• Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and sales tracking
• Knowledge of food safety standards, food preparation techniques, and proper food handling procedures
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced café or retail environment while maintaining attention to detail
