Barista Shift Leader

We’re seeking someone who can consistently work 35–40 hours per week and thrives in a fast-paced, community-focused environment. In this role, you’ll craft exceptional coffee beverages, serve food items, and provide outstanding customer service that keeps guests coming back. Your energy, flexibility, and attention to detail will be essential in maintaining a welcoming atmosphere, ensuring smooth daily operations, and upholding high food safety standards.

We are looking for someone passionate about coffee, hospitality, and teamwork, with availability to work some evenings and weekends as part of a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with precision and consistency
• Provide exceptional customer service by warmly greeting guests, answering questions, and handling special requests professionally
• Operate POS systems accurately for transactions, cash handling, and order management
• Assist with food preparation including baked goods, snacks, and light café offerings
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café, food prep stations, and guest seating areas
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling standards at all times
• Work efficiently during busy rush periods while maintaining product quality and positive guest interactions
• Support team operations with flexibility, including some evening and weekend shifts

Qualifications

• Barista experience strongly preferred, but food service or restaurant experience required at minimum
• Availability to work 35–40 hours per week, including some evenings and weekends
• Strong customer service and communication skills with a friendly, team-oriented attitude
• Experience with POS systems
• Basic math and cash handling accuracy
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
• Strong time management skills and ability to multitask in a high-volume setting
• Willingness to learn, grow, and contribute positively to a fast-paced café culture
