Barista Shift Leader

Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and motivated Barista Shift Leader to join our fun and exciting team! In this role, you will lead daily operations during your shift, ensuring exceptional customer service, efficient food and beverage preparation, and smooth team coordination. Responsibilities

• Supervise daily café operations during your shift, ensuring smooth workflow and excellent customer service.
• Lead by example in preparing high-quality coffee beverages, food items, and snacks with precision and care.
• Manage cash handling, POS transactions using systems like Evalon, or Square POS, and ensure accurate cashiering procedures.
• Support team members with training on food safety protocols, proper food handling, and serving techniques.
• Monitor inventory levels, restock supplies as needed, and communicate stock needs to management.
• Address customer inquiries or concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction and foster loyalty.
• Maintain cleanliness standards across the café area, including food prep zones and dining spaces, adhering to health regulations.

Requirements:

• At least 1 year of proven experience as a barista with strong coffee-making skills and familiarity with café operations required
• At least 1 year of previous leadership or supervisory experience in a food service or retail environment preferred.
• Knowledge of POS systems such as Talech POS or Square POS for efficient sales processing.
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy shifts.
• Strong customer service orientation with the ability to handle diverse customer needs professionally.
• Basic math skills for cash handling, register reconciliation, and retail math calculations.
• Understanding of food safety standards, health code standards, proper food handling procedures, and serving techniques.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 35 per week
