Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Barista Shift Leader for our early morning shift, starting at 6 AM and afternoon shift starting at 2 PM. In this leadership role, you will oversee daily café operations, ensure exceptional customer service, and support your team in delivering high-quality coffee and food offerings. Your enthusiasm and organizational skills will help maintain a smooth workflow while motivating your team to excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead shift operations by coordinating team activities, ensuring efficient service during busy hours
• Prepare and serve high-quality coffee beverages, food items, and snacks with attention to presentation and food safety standards
• Manage cash handling, POS transactions using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems, and perform basic retail math accurately
• Provide outstanding customer service by engaging with guests, addressing inquiries, and resolving concerns promptly
• Supervise food preparation and food handling procedures to maintain cleanliness, safety, and compliance with health regulations
• Train new team members on POS systems, serving techniques, food safety protocols, and customer service expectations
• Monitor inventory levels, restock supplies as needed, and maintain a clean, organized café environment

Experience

• Previous barista experience in a fast-paced café or food service setting is preferred
• Demonstrated leadership skills in supervising or leading shifts in a retail or food industry environment
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha or Micros is highly desirable
• Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy periods
• Knowledge of food safety standards, food preparation techniques, and proper handling procedures
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively with diverse guests
• Basic math skills for cash handling, sales calculations, and retail math applications
