About the Course

We are launching a highly practical, Short-Term Certificate Course in Foundational F&B Preparation & Barista Skills designed for entry-level professionals in the UAE's vibrant food service sector. The 30-hour, hands-on program aims to equip participants with certified, job-ready skills in food safety, barista techniques, kitchen fundamentals, and grab-and-go assembly.

We are seeking a passionate, certified chef and barista trainer to deliver this intensive, skills-focused program in Dubai.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver all six modules (5 hours each) in a fully equipped training kitchen, ensuring a 70% practical, 30% theory approach.
  • Conduct hands-on workshops, live demonstrations, and supervised practice sessions across all skill areas (coffee, cooking, baking, beverages, cold preparation).
  • Administer and evaluate the Final Practical Exam, assessing participants' ability to prepare a plated dish, a coffee drink, and a mocktail/juice to industry standards.
  • Ensure all food safety (HACCP) and UAE regulatory content is accurately taught and demonstrated.
  • Manage training equipment, ingredient lists, and ensure a safe, hygienic, and productive learning environment.
  • Provide constructive, skill-based feedback to participants to ensure competency and confidence.

Requirements

  • Professional Certification as a Chef, Barista Trainer, or Food Safety Auditor (e.g., City & Guilds, SCA, HACCP) is mandatory.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in commercial kitchens, cafes, or hotel F&B outlets, with at least 3 years in the UAE/GCC.
  • Proven experience in training, coaching, or supervising entry-level kitchen and service staff.
  • Expert, up-to-date knowledge of UAE food safety regulations (Dubai Municipality/ADAFSA) and HACCP protocols.
  • Mastery of espresso machine operation, milk texturing, and core coffee menu preparation.
  • Strong proficiency in foundational cooking, baking, and cold kitchen techniques outlined in the syllabus.
  • Excellent instructional skills in English; knowledge of Arabic or other languages is a plus.
  • Ability to work within a structured 45-day program timeline and manage a batch of 10 participants.

  • A certified chef de partie, head barista, or F&B trainer currently working in a UAE hotel, specialty coffee chain, or reputable restaurant group.
  • A patient, encouraging instructor who enjoys developing raw talent and building foundational skills.
  • Technically precise, organized, and able to manage the logistical demands of a practical training kitchen.
  • Available for flexible hours, including weekends, to accommodate the course schedule.

Logistics & Compensation

  • Course Duration: 30 hours of training, delivered within a 45-day window.
  • Mode: Blended (in-person practical workshops + industrial visit facilitation).
  • Location: Provided training kitchen in Dubai.
  • Batch Size: 10 participants.
  • Compensation: 100 AED per hour of direct training delivery (30 hours = 3,000 AED per batch). Payment upon successful completion of the batch.
  • Support: Course curriculum, lesson plans, and assessment rubrics provided. Ingredients and consumables budget covered separately.
