Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our vibrant café teams in Waikiki, Ward, and Downtown Honolulu. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while preparing high-quality beverages and food items. Your expertise in coffee and customer service will contribute to an exceptional experience for our guests, ensuring they leave with a smile.

Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages according to established recipes and standards.
• Engage with customers to take orders, provide recommendations, and ensure satisfaction throughout their visit.
• Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and basic math skills for processing sales.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and dining areas.
• Assist in food preparation and handling, ensuring all items meet safety and quality standards.
• Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, supplies, and food items; communicate needs to management.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours.
• Stay knowledgeable about menu items, promotions, and coffee brewing techniques to enhance customer experience.

Requirements

• Previous experience in the café or food industry is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests.
• Basic math skills for cash handling and retail transactions.
• Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques is a plus; willingness to learn is essential.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Must be able to handle food safely and adhere to health regulations.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Open to candidates with no high school or college diploma
