Barista/Cashier

Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and customer-oriented Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a clean and inviting environment. Your role will be pivotal in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while ensuring that all food safety and handling standards are met.

Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and customer preferences.
• Operate the cash register, handle cash transactions, and maintain accurate cash handling practices.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the food preparation areas.
• Assist in food preparation tasks such as baking pastries or preparing light snacks as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly, taking orders efficiently, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
• Maintain inventory levels of supplies and notify management when stock is low.
• Clean and organize the work area regularly to ensure a safe and hygienic environment for both staff and customers.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation during peak hours.

Experience

• Previous experience in the food service industry is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
• Familiarity with POS systems is a plus.
• Knowledge of food safety practices and food handling procedures is beneficial.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
