Barista/Cashier

The Shop is a casual, counter-service restaurant located on the Eastside of Santa Barbara, at the bottom of the beautiful riviera. We aim to provide a positive experience for every guest, and pride ourselves on our delicious and unique dishes. In addition to our brunch and lunch menus, we serve coffee and espresso drinks, cocktails, beer & wine, etc.

The Shop Hours

Thursday - Monday: 9am-2pm

We are hiring an experienced cashier to join our team! Team members will be trained in all positions including: running food, bussing, drinks & espresso, and interacting with customers. As a cashier, you will be in charge of taking customer orders with a friendly and positive attitude, be able to answer any questions regarding the menu, and be able to guide guests that have dietary restrictions and/or allergies.

Applicants should be comfortable in fast-paced environments, and have a friendly, positive attitude. Shifts are 4-6 hours, 2-3 days per week including weekends and holidays. Team members make both cash and credit card tips.

Qualifications

• Experience in food in any capacity
• Strong customer service skills and communication
• Positive attitude and attention to detail
• Some knowledge of food handling and sanitation practices
• Ability to manage cash handling and operate cash registers accurately

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
