Barista/Cashier

Hello:) Amante Coffee in Denver is hiring! Our Denver location is a half block from Union Station in the heart of LoDo. Here is what we are looking for:

-Someone who enjoys working in a fast paced, social work environment.

-Our hours are M-F 6:30am-6pm, Saturday 7am-6pm and Sunday 8am-3pm. It is essential that you have availability during those times.

-We need Sat. through Tues availability

-We have a tavern bar license, so you must be 21 to work here.

-We are looking for someone who can work 4-5 shifts per week.

-Coffee experience is not required, but some service industry experience is preferred.

*Parking near Amante is very difficult unfortunately. Ideally, you are able to take public transportation. If public transportation is an option for you, we will reimburse you for the money you spend on the train or bus.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting customers with their orders.
• Operate the POS system efficiently, handling cash and card transactions accurately.
• Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and beverages, ensuring adherence to food safety standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area and café environment.
• Assist in food preparation and service as needed, demonstrating basic math skills for order accuracy.
• Collaborate with team members to enhance the overall customer experience.

Qualifications

• Proven barista experience (ideal, but not required) with a strong background in coffee preparation and serving.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle transactions efficiently using POS systems.
• Familiarity with food safety and handling practices in a café or retail environment.
• Strong time management and sales skills to enhance customer satisfaction and drive sales.
• Basic math proficiency for cash handling and register operations.

Pay: $19.29 per hour
