Barista/Cashier

Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team in creating exceptional coffee experiences for our customers. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages while providing outstanding customer service in a fast-paced café environment. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.

Pay

Our baristas make from $18-$24+ per hour including tips

Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and standards.
• Operate the cash register and handle transactions accurately using POS systems.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and standards throughout food preparation and service.
• Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
• Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of supplies and ingredients needed for beverage preparation.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
• Participate in ongoing training to enhance knowledge of coffee products, brewing techniques, and customer service skills.

Experience

• Previous experience in the food service or café industry is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with cash registers and retail math is beneficial for managing transactions effectively.
• Knowledge of food safety practices is essential to maintain a safe working environment.
• Strong time management skills are necessary to prioritize tasks during peak hours efficiently.
• Experience with food preparation techniques is a plus, contributing to overall beverage quality.
