Barista/Chai Maker

Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Barista/Chai Maker to join the Karak House Coffee Co. team. This role combines a passion for exceptional customer service with expertise in preparing high-quality coffee, chai, and other beverages. The ideal candidate will deliver a warm and welcoming experience for every guest while maintaining our standards of excellence and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

1. Beverage Preparation:

• Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including Karak chai, specialty coffee drinks, teas, and other menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards.
• Ensure consistency and quality in every drink served.
• Understand the unique flavor profiles of Karak House Coffee Co. offerings and communicate them effectively to customers.

2. Customer Service:

• Greet customers warmly, taking orders accurately and efficiently.
• Engage with customers to enhance their experience, answer menu-related questions, and provide recommendations.
• Handle customer complaints or special requests in a professional manner to ensure satisfaction.

3. Operational Duties:

• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including the preparation and serving areas.
• Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
• Monitor inventory levels for chai ingredients, coffee beans, and other supplies; inform the manager when restocking is necessary.

4. Team Collaboration:

• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth operations during shifts.
• Assist with training new staff as needed.
• Support other team roles, including food preparation and cashier duties, when required.

5. Knowledge Development:

• Stay updated on Karak House Coffee Co.’s menu items, seasonal offerings, and promotions.
• Participate in training sessions to improve beverage-making techniques and product knowledge.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a barista or chai maker is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.
• Strong understanding of beverage preparation, including frothing milk, brewing coffee, and steeping tea.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
• A positive attitude and a genuine passion for providing exceptional customer service.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Capability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced environment.
