Barista/Cook/Cashier

Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Barista to join our café team. As a Barista, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while preparing high-quality beverages and food items. Your passion for coffee and exceptional customer service will help enhance the overall experience for our guests.

Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages according to established recipes and standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including equipment, counters, and dining spaces.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system for cash handling and processing transactions efficiently.
• Assist with food preparation tasks, ensuring that all items meet quality standards.
• Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during peak hours while maintaining attention to detail.
• Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment and ensure smooth operations within the café.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a café or food service environment is preferred but not required.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse clientele.
• Familiarity with coffee preparation techniques and equipment is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of retail math for handling transactions accurately.
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
• Ability to work as part of a team while also being self-motivated when needed.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights as required in the café setting.
