Nibble Chocolate is a small-batch, vegan, organic bean-to-bar chocolate company based in San Diego. We

make chocolate that food lovers genuinely get excited about — crafted with intention, sourced with care, and

served with warmth. Our Pacific Beach location is where the magic happens: a chocolate factory and café all

in one. We're looking for someone who brings exceptional energy, loves people deeply, and takes real pride

in creating an experience that keeps customers coming back.

ROLE OVERVIEW

As a Nibble Barista, you're the face of the brand. You're the first smile customers see, the voice that walks

them through our products, and the reason they leave feeling like they found something special. This isn't just

a coffee job — you're part of a small, passionate team making craft chocolate and serving it with care. Every

shift, you bring your best: warmth, energy, and a genuine love for what we do.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Customer Experience

• Greet every customer warmly and create a welcoming, positive experience from the moment they walk

in

• Provide knowledgeable, enthusiastic guidance on our products — chocolate bars, drinks, and

everything in between

• Take orders accurately and handle Square POS transactions with confidence
• Ensure every customer leaves happy — go the extra mile to make their visit memorable

Drinks & Product

• Prepare and serve all drinks in accordance with Nibble recipes, standards, and guidelines
• Maintain consistent quality on every order — every time, not just when it's busy
• Stay up to date on new menu items, seasonal offerings, and product knowledge

Store & Workspace

• Keep the coffee area and store clean, organized, and guest-ready at all times
• Restock ingredients, products, and supplies throughout your shift; report shortages to the Operations

Lead promptly

• Complete all tasks on daily checklists and submit reports as required
• Assist with product packaging, inventory counts, or other company tasks during slower periods
• Perform additional work-related tasks as assigned by supervisors

Team & Culture

• Show up on time, every time — follow Nibble's attendance and call-out policy
• Be a genuine team player: help out teammates, communicate with kindness, and bring a positive

attitude to every shift

• Contribute to a work environment that feels good to be in — for your team and for your customers
• Support the Operations Lead and team by jumping in wherever needed

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

• Genuine passion for coffee, chocolate, and food — this isn't a job requirement, it's who you are
• Exceptional customer service skills — you make every person feel seen, valued, and glad they

came in

• A natural people person — outgoing, warm, and energetic every single shift
• Able to handle a crowd without losing your cool — you thrive under pressure and stay efficient

when it gets busy

• Highly organized and clean — you take ownership of your space and keep it guest-ready at all

times

• Reliable and punctual — your team can count on you to show up and show up ready
• Strong multitasker — you juggle multiple orders and tasks without dropping the ball
• Open availability required, including weekends and holidays
• Barista or café experience preferred; genuine willingness to learn required
• Comfortable handling POS systems (Square experience a plus)
• Must obtain a San Diego County Food Handler's Card within 30 days of hire (or hold a current one)
