Barista/Kitchen Staff

Overview:

We're looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team. The Barista/Kitchen Staff will be primarily responsible for preparing and serving coffee, tea, and other beverages and bakery items to our customers as well as playing a vital role in assisting our kitchen staff in preparing delicious meals for our customers. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced, high-stress environment, exceptional customer service skills and a friendly personality. Duties:
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients for cooking, such as chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and measuring ingredients
- Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to ensure consistency in food quality
- Prepare food items according to established standards and procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and equipment
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations
- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations during service hours
- Assist with inventory management and stock rotation

- Take orders from customers and make them their drinks according to their specifications.

- Maintain the cleanliness of the coffee shop by washing counters, tables, and floors.

- Answer questions about the menu and beverages.

- Assist customers with their orders.

Skills:
- Previous experience in a food service or kitchen environment is preferred
- Strong math skills for recipe measurements and portion control
- Excellent time management skills to meet production deadlines
- Knowledge of proper food handling techniques
- Cash handling experience is a plus
- Familiarity with retail math for inventory management
- Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices
- Proficiency in using POS systems and cash registers
- Exceptional customer service skills
