Job Description

This position requires that you are friendly, polite, and professional and that you can clearly communicate within the team and with the clients. As a barista we require that you have a basic understanding of coffee types, roasting methods, and knowledge of most common coffee beverages to better assist clients in their selections. The ideal candidate works quickly and efficiently and will remain calm and collected during busy hours. Training provided for candidates who have prior kitchen experience but would like to explore becoming a barista. You must be able to multi-task and prioritize consistency and customer service. This is a hybrid position where you will be trained as a barista, but is also expected to learn how to help the team with retail. You will be scheduled both barista and retail if seeking full time employment. A part time barista position is available also.

Your typical day will involve but not be limited to:

• Making beverages
• Prepping ingredients and sauces/ syrups
• Maintaining high standards of cleaning and sanitation
• Taking stock
• Cashiering
• Setting up your bar so the next shift has a successful day
• Assisting retail staff
• Stocking cases
• Updating inventory
• Fulfilling online orders
• Cleaning/orgazizing

Requirements

• 21+
• Experience preferred in kitchens, coffee bars, and retail operations, one year
• Weekend availability
• FT (35 - 40 hours) must be available all business hours.
• PT (15-30 hours) must be available 60% of business hours

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
