Barista/server

Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista/Server to join our vibrant café team. This role involves preparing and serving high-quality Drinks and desserts and providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in barista and serving , excellent time management skills, and a passion for creating a positive customer experience. Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, teas, and dessert items with attention to quality and presentation
• Take customer orders accurately using Toast POS system and preparing all online to go orders.
• Handle cash transactions, process payments, and give correct change using proper cash handling procedures
• Provide friendly and attentive customer service to ensure guest satisfaction
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and seating areas
• Follow food safety standards and proper food handling procedures at all times
• Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including basic food assembly and presentation
• Manage multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods through effective time management
• Uphold health regulations and safety standards in all aspects of food service

Skills

• Previous barista experience in barista knowledge is highly desirable
• Experience with POS systems such as Toast
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours
• Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and sales transactions
• Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper food handling techniques
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and assist customers seamlessly
• Experience in food service, serving, or café environments is preferred

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
