Bartender

Titusville Moose Lodge 1962 – Social Quarters

Position Overview

The bartender at the Moose Lodge is responsible for operating the Social Quarters in a professional, friendly, and efficient manner while serving members and qualified guests. This is not a typical bar job. The bartender is entrusted with maintaining a welcoming environment for members, safeguarding Lodge assets, and ensuring operations run smoothly during their shift.

Bartenders are expected to work independently, handle busy periods calmly, and represent the Lodge with professionalism.

Core Responsibilities

Member Service

Greet members and guests promptly and respectfully.

Provide efficient beverage service including beer, wine, and mixed drinks.

Maintain a friendly but professional atmosphere at all times.

Address member concerns politely and escalate issues to management when necessary.

Ensure only members and properly signed-in guests are served.

Bar Operations

Follow Lodge standard pour sizes and drink pricing.

Accurately ring all drinks and transactions through the POS system.

Handle cash, tabs, and credit transactions responsibly.

Maintain a clean and organized bar area during the entire shift.

Restock beer, liquor, mixers, and supplies as needed.

Facility Responsibility

Maintain cleanliness of the Social Quarters including bar top, service areas, glassware, and surrounding member areas.

Monitor the environment to ensure a safe and respectful atmosphere.

Report maintenance issues, inventory shortages, or operational concerns.

Compliance and Accountability

Follow all Moose International rules and Lodge policies.

Follow all state and local alcohol service laws.

Do not over-serve members or guests.

Protect Lodge assets by ensuring all sales are properly recorded.

Maintain responsible control of gaming ticket sales if applicable.

Expectations

Bartenders at the Moose Lodge are expected to:

Be reliable and punctual for scheduled shifts.

Work independently without constant supervision.

Stay calm and efficient during busy periods.

Maintain professional behavior and avoid gossip or workplace drama.

Treat members with respect while also upholding Lodge rules.

Understand this is a members’ organization, not a neighborhood dive bar.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for extended periods.

Lift and move beer cases and bar supplies.

Work evening, weekend, and occasional event shifts.

Compensation

This is a part-time position with strong earning potential, including hourly pay and tips. Experienced bartenders can earn well above typical bar wages due to the Lodge’s strong member base and busy events.
