Bartender

Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and personable Bartender to join our dynamic hospitality team. In this role, you will craft exceptional beverages, deliver outstanding customer service, and create memorable experiences for our guests. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will contribute to a lively atmosphere where guests feel welcomed and valued. The ideal candidate is passionate about the food and beverage industry, possesses excellent communication skills, and thrives in fast-paced environments such as fine dining establishments, nightclubs, or banquet settings.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with precision
  • Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner to enhance their overall experience
  • Deliver the same quality of service behind the bar as at tables with the ability to describe menu items and guide guests through the dining experience
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, ensuring compliance with food safety standards
  • Manage cash handling, POS transactions with TOAST, and billing accurately
  • Restock bar supplies, monitor inventory levels, and place orders as needed
  • Batch cocktails and help in the cooking of our house made syrups and infusions as taught by our Beverage Director
  • Ensure responsible serving by verifying guest age and monitoring alcohol consumption
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff for food service, catering events, or banquet functions as required
  • Uphold all food handling procedures and safety regulations to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff

Skills

  • Proven experience as a bartender in fine dining or elevated dining setting is highly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of TOAST is preferred, but basic POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for efficient sales processing is required
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to connect with diverse guests quickly
  • Effective time management skills to handle multiple orders during busy periods seamlessly
  • Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and accurate billing
  • Familiarity with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and special events like catering or banquets
  • Knowledge of brewing techniques or beverage crafting is a plus but not required
  • Knowledge of batch or craft cocktails is a plus but not required
  • A desire to learn and follow instructions or recipes as set by Beverage Director accurately and completely
  • Previous wine knowledge and wine service knowledge required
