Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with precision and flair, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner to understand their preferences and recommend drinks or menu items.
- Manage POS systems such as Toast POS and Micros POS to process orders efficiently while accurately handling cash, credit card transactions, and receipts.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, adhering to food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Monitor guest behavior to promote a safe environment, especially during nighttime or nightclub shifts, intervening when necessary.
- Restock bar supplies, garnishes, glassware, and beverages promptly to ensure smooth service during busy hours.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff for catering events or banquet services, ensuring seamless coordination between food and beverage service.
- Demonstrate excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently while providing attentive customer service.
- Uphold all food safety regulations and responsible alcohol service policies at all times.
Experience
- Previous experience working as a bartender in fine dining, nightclub, or banquet settings is highly preferred.
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Toast POS and Micros POS is essential for efficient order processing.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques is required.
- Demonstrated ability in serving alcohol responsibly while managing cash handling accurately using retail math skills.
- Experience in catering or large event settings (banquets) is advantageous.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage diverse guests confidently.
- Familiarity with brewing processes or the food industry can be beneficial for creating specialty drinks or understanding menu offerings.
