Salt Creek Grille “SCG” in Dana Point is an upscale, casual American restaurant with a focus on contemporary, high-quality dishes. SCG is known for its relaxed yet elegant atmosphere, offering a range of classic American cuisine, with an emphasis on fresh seafood, steaks, and other grilled dishes. It’s popular for its vibrant dining space, featuring an open kitchen, a cozy outdoor patio, and an extensive wine list.

The menu typically features a variety of grilled meats, fresh fish, salads, and house-made sides, along with signature cocktails and an impressive selection of wines. The restaurant’s focus on using high-quality ingredients and providing a relaxed yet upscale dining experience sets it apart from more traditional steakhouse or seafood spots.

We are looking for experienced bartenders who are passionate about crafting exceptional cocktails and providing excellent customer service. As a key member of our team, you'll help create a memorable experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Take drink orders and provide recommendations to guests on the drink menu, including wine pairings with steaks and other menu items.
  • Ensure the bar area is clean, stocked, and organized at all times.
  • Maintain a deep knowledge of the drink menu, including specialty cocktails, wines, and spirits.
  • Provide excellent customer service, handling guest concerns with a positive attitude.
  • Ensure compliance with all state alcohol regulations and policies.
  • Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and securely.
  • Assist in creating a welcoming atmosphere that aligns with the upscale nature of our restaurant.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of bartending experience in a fine dining or upscale environment.
  • Strong knowledge of cocktails, wine, beer, and spirits.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Must be 21 years or older.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Bartender certifications or alcohol service training and food safety training certificate.

Pay: $16.90 per hour

Work Location: In person
