Oak and Embers Tavern in HUDSON is seeking a professional, energetic bartender with excellent communication skills and a passion for serving craft cocktails, beer and wine. As a bartender, you will greet guests as they sit, learn about their preferences, answer questions, recommend menu items, and prepare and serve food.

Responsibilities:

• Welcoming guests, reading and listening to beverage preferences, making suggestions, and taking orders
• Inform guests of new drink items along with daily food specials
• Checking identification to ensure guests are of legal age to purchase alcohol
• Following all food safety and quality regulations
• Handling cash, credit, and debit card transactions, ensuring charges are accurate and the correct change is given to patrons
• Maintain a clean working environment, emptying trash, bus bins, washing glasses, utensils and equipment

Requirements:

• Meet state minimum age to serve alcohol
• Available weekends and holidays
• Positive, engaging personality
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong task and time management abilities
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, etc for long periods of time and lift up to 25lbs
