Skills Required

  • Strong knowledge of food safety practices and procedures.
  • Proper wine knowledge and wine serving techniques.
  • Extensive knowledge in basic and classic cocktails.
  • Extensive food handling experience
  • Understanding of fine dining techniques. OLB is not a traditional fine dining restaurant but we aim to serve at the highest level of professionalism in the hospitality field.
  • POS and iPad knowledge
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Previous experience in the food industry, catering, or restaurant setting is required
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing menus and dietary requirements
  • Duties
  • Building classic cocktails as well as Osteria La Buca’s signature cocktails
  • Learn and memorize entire food, wine, and cocktail menu
  • Greeting guests and guiding them through our food, wine, and cocktail menus.
  • Taking orders and entering them into the POS system.
  • Proper wine presentation and pouring
  • Assisting fellow hospitality members in any and all capacity (Osteria La Buca is a pooled house and in such every hospitality member works as a team unit.)
  • Maintaining the bar and ensuring proper cleanliness at all times.
  • Bussing and resetting bar top.
  • Organizing and stocking bar fridges and shelves
  • Daily, weekly, and monthly scheduled sidework
  • Opening and closing of dining room
  • Bi-yearly employee evaluations
  • Quarterly brush up testing

Pay: From $17.81 per hour
