Bartender

ABOUT THE POSITION

The Bartender serves craft cocktails and other highly curated alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. They also serve a full bar menu and entertain customers as if they were in their own home. Their personality and presence is a central part of the guest experience.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS

• Serves highly crafted cocktails and other beverages as well as a full bar menu in a discrete, professional and unobtrusive manner
• Is knowledgeable to an encyclopedic level of the cocktail and mixed drink lexicon
• Is fully knowledgeable of the entire food menu including raw products and preparation techniques
• Is fully knowledgeable of the wine by the glass program, and able to pair wines with food
• May perform all cashier duties for the Bar and the Restaurant, and be responsible for the cash banks
• Enforces accuracy on all liquor and wine pouring measures as set by management
• Enforces all policies on Point of Sale control by not dispensing any drinks without a ticket
• Always obtains prior approval before providing complimentary drinks to guests
• Serves alcohol responsibly
• Discerns guests’ moods and accommodates their preferences and requests
• Completes opening and closing side-work as assigned
• Must be willing and able to perform any related or similar tasks assigned by their supervisor
• QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience
• The employee must possess the following experience, education and skills and/or be able to explain and demonstrate that they can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some comparable combination of knowledge and aptitudes

• Five years of experience as a bartender
• Three years of experience as a craft bartender

Two years of experience as a server in an upscale or luxury dining environment

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $10.70 per hour
