Hangry Bison — Now Hiring: Bartender

The Hangry Bison is looking for an enthusiastic, skilled bartender to become the beating heart of our bar program. We're a bourbon, whiskey, and craft cocktail-focused casual dining restaurant, and we take our drinks seriously. If you can shake, stir, and story-tell your way through a busy Saturday night — and leave every guest feeling like the only person at the bar — we want to talk.

A Few Things Up Front

This role requires a minimum of two years of experience in a full-service, full-liquor establishment. You must have weekend availability, the flexibility to work both daytime and evening shifts, and the ability to start immediately. If that works for you, keep reading.

What You'll Do

You'll own the bar — preparing both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for bar and restaurant guests, taking orders, serving snacks, and making recommendations that surprise and delight. You'll mix classic cocktails and create innovative drinks that go beyond what guests expect. You'll check IDs, stay on top of restocking and inventory, and keep your station clean, organized, and running smoothly at all times. Above all, you'll stay guest-focused from open to close, complying with all food and beverage regulations while making sure every experience at the Hangry Bison bar is one worth coming back for.

What We're Looking For

You should have a strong, provable track record behind the bar — bring your resume and be ready to speak to your experience. Excellent knowledge of mixing, garnishing, and serving drinks is essential. You'll need to be comfortable with basic computer systems and POS terminals, and you should be the kind of person who communicates warmly and clearly, even when it's three deep on a Friday night.

A relevant bartending or training certification is a plus, and knowledge of a second language is always welcome at our table — or bar, as it were. Most importantly, you need a positive attitude, a natural ability to connect with people, and a genuine passion for the craft.

Compensation includes an hourly rate plus tips.
